The Story Behind the Image - Ep. 002
in Portraits, Wedding, Weekly Blog
My couple, Mike and Anne, were able to secure my Artistic service at the last possible moment: we met on Wednesday – the wedding was on Saturday! Yes, the same week. Their scheduled photographer notified them Monday (of that week) that he was not able to do their wedding (circumstances totally beyond his control).
Anne reviewed www.TheVisualArtistStudios.com and loved the work (this is the basis of how I begin my service to my amazing clients). If my client(s) love the Art, then all else is negotiable. The wedding location was the The Chart House Restaurant – Redondo Beach, CA, literally at the Beach.
My Bride wanted something Beautiful, Dramatic and Epic. So here are our elements: Beautiful Bride, Custom Wedding Dress and the Pacific Ocean on a Summer morning. The result: The Visual Artist Studios – Signature Portrait.
And of course there was the wedding...

The Story Behind the Image
On the day of the wedding, my Bride gets my attention, looks me right in the eye and says, “get a picture of my Father. He's been waiting to see me get married” No pressure!
At this point, let’s forget about the Grand Wedding photographs right? I still have to do both – but you get the point.
Through the ceremony I do what do and randomly, I sat behind my Brides Father. As I changed lenses, I looked up and there it was – the Father Portrait [she asked for]; the Father of the Bride, leaning in- watching intently, as his daughter prepares to say I do.
And of course, there are more images from this wonderful wedding...
Wedding: Bob & Laura
in Wedding, Weekly Blog
We finally arrived at the day we've been waiting for: THE WEDDING of Bob and Laura! Weddings are always an anticipated event, but this wedding we just couldn't wait. And we made it!
The ceremony was at the beautiful Sacred Heart Parish in Los Angeles CA (built in 1887!). This could not have been a more fitting service for this Union.
Laura looked radiant and my groom, Bob was styling. It was a beautiful day in Southern California - perfect for a wedding.
Then we moved over to Burbank, CA to the exquisite Olivia Restaurant.
Here's to many Happy Year's to Bob & Laura. It was an honor to capture their day.

EPIC! Engagement: Robert & Ashley
in Engagement, Portraits
What an awesome day in San Diego, CA at BALBOA PARK. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this Beautiful couple: Robert & Ashley. And thank you Mr. Terriss Brown of Tb1 Photography for your assistance with this session.
This beautiful bride to be, Ms. Ashley, I’ve known her since she was a little girl. And now she’s about to be married… sniff, sniff. And she’s also a “Bad-Ass” BASS Player! And this young man, Mr. Robert, is respectful, Hilarious and handsome. He’s also a Veteran of these United States! In addition, his chest is bigger than my body.
Needless to say, I am happy and excited for this Couple. Robert & Ashley… Blessings.
