Tell me your story: I am a late bloomer in every aspect of my life. Though, I am a Christian and was saved at the young age of 3. I'm 38 years old and work from home doing IT Consulting for my brother Brian's company (Ring Brother's IT). I am forever grateful that I can work from home and raise my son. I'm also a photographer part-time. I'm technically minded and most of my jobs have been in the IT Industry but photography is my passion. It's my "happy place". I am a "Pk", Pastor's Kid in case you are not familiar with the term. I love my dad and at one point he was my pastor, coworker, carpool buddy and counselor. That put a bit of a strain on our relationship but now I'm closer to my dad than ever and am grateful we have such a close relationship. I lived my childhood in Anchorage, AK and have lots of stories about growing up in such a rustic cold environment. God has brought me through so much. And the story of meeting my husband shows God's hand in the entire process. Neither of us sings in public but we met at a Karaoke bar. He lived a block away from my parents and he would drive by my work every day. He sent me a message on Facebook one night while I was baking cookies and asked me to bring him some, and I did and the rest is history! We met in 2010, got married in 2012 and had our first child in 2014. My son is my life right now! I sometimes just sit and look at him in awe that he's mine. He's such a smart, affectionate little boy.
What do you think was the biggest turning point in your life? Getting married and having a child was definitely a turning point in my life. I have had to learn how to balance my relationships as well as still be who I need to be. Sometimes that's tough remembering who I am along side being a wife and mother. I have to remind myself that I am myself, being a wife and mother are just additions to who I already am, not overtaking who I am. I'm still trying to balance that.
Please finish the statement – I am a person who…: See's the best in people. I will defend my family (physical as well as spiritual) to a fault. I am a person who will stress myself out to make sure I do everything I can for others. I am trying to learn to say "no" more often because I take on too much. I tend to be a counselor. I am a natural leader.
